We will review and update this Publication scheme annually to ensure the information contained within it remains current.
Who we are and what we do
The Police Federation of England and Wales is one of the largest staff associations in the UK, representing the interests of all police constables, sergeants and inspectors (including chief inspectors). It is made up of a national headquarters and 43 branches, one for each of the police force areas in England and Wales. You can read more About us and what we do in our Aims and objectives.
What we spend and how we spend it
Our annual reports and accounts since 2010 and fund rules may be viewed on our Reports and accounts pages. This includes information about local federation accounts since 2015.
What our priorities are and how we are doing
Our annual reports since 2010 can be viewed on our Reports and accounts page. The latest on the Independent Review of the organisation, our Campaigns and Our work are also published, detailing our positions on pay and pensions, morale, and police kit and equipment for example.
Each year the Police Federation holds its Annual conference in May, a pivotal event in the policing calendar where representatives from the 43 forces throughout England and Wales, as well as from Scotland, Northern Ireland and overseas, come together to share good practice and debate issues affecting policing.
How we make decisions
The Interim National Board (INB), formerly known as the Joint Central Committee (JCC), is the policy-making body for the PFEW, and deals with all business affecting its members. How we develop policy is captured here.
Our policies and procedures
We have a dedicated webpage for our policies and you can also find an overview of some of them in our Working for you booklet.

FOI requests and corresponding responses have been published in an FOI Disclosure Log.
