QUESTION 1: I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding the financial assistance provided by the Police Federation of England and Wales to its members facing misconduct and gross misconduct proceedings. Please provide the following information for the period 1st January 2022 to the present:
The total number of police officers what have faced misconduct and gross misconduct proceedings during this period.
QUESTION 2: The number of police officers who applied for legal funding or financial assistance from the Police Federation for misconduct related cases.
QUESTION 3: The number of police officers who were granted legal funding or financial assistance.
QUESTION 4: The total amount of legal funding provided for misconduct and gross misconduct proceedings.
QUESTION 5: Any policies or eligibility criteria that determine whether an officer receives legal assistance from the Police Federation.

RESPONSE 1: The Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW) only holds data where an application for legal assistance has been made. The PFEW is not automatically informed of all misconduct or gross misconduct cases and therefore does not hold the data responsive to this part of the request.
