1. I am writing to formally request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 concerning the Metropolitan Police Service's (MPS) consultation with the Police Federation on the following policies and initiatives: As part of the Metropolitan Police's own Equality Impact Assessment( EIA) Policy Development Guidance states, " You'll need to consult with Subject matter experts, practitioners, and end users..... In addition, to ensure your policy is fit for purpose," That consultation must include 'Police Federation'
As part of the MPS drive/policy to increase frontline numbers and conduct a review of how it deals with officers on adjusted duties, I would like to know the following, please.
Adjusted Duties Panel:
Was the Police Federation consulted regarding the review, suspension, or discontinuation of the Adjusted Duties Panel within the MPS?
If so, please provide details of the consultation, including dates, topics discussed, and any feedback or recommendations provided by the Police Federation.
2. Detective Constable (DC) Rotation Policy:
Was the Police Federation consulted on the implementation of the DC rotation policy?
If so, please provide details of the consultation, including dates, topics discussed, and any feedback or recommendations provided by the Police Federation.
3. Initiatives to Increase Frontline Numbers:
Was the Police Federation consulted on strategies or policies aimed at increasing the number of frontline officers within the MPS?
If so, please provide details of the consultation, including dates, topics discussed, and any feedback or recommendations provided by the Police Federation

1. There was no input from the Metropolitan Police Federation (MetFed) or the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW) regarding the Adjusted Duties Panel.
2. The PFEW did not have any input however, following enquiries with MetFed, there were both informal and formal consultations. MetFed does not hold any notes on the informal consultations. The PFEW understands that any agendas or minutes taken from the formal consultations will be held by the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS). Two meetings were attended by the MetFed from around June onwards which discussed this topic, The Detective Resilience Group and the DAC Demand Authority. These meetings were held each month and minutes will be held by the MPS.
3. The PFEW and MetFed do not hold this data. Any written minutes of these meetings will be held by MPS. The two minuted meetings which were held where these topics would have been discussed were the Fed/PSA Tier 1 consultation meeting and the DAC Demand Authority.
