Police Federation LGBT+ is a self-organised group of the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW).

The terms of reference of the group were approved by the National Board in June 2019, and the group was launched at a meeting of the National Council in November 2019.

From that date we recruited members from within PFEW to attend the first professional development seminar in Feb 2020.

Aims
• Support PFEW to recruit LGBT+ members as elected representatives
• Create opportunities for LGBT+ representatives within PFEW to meet and network to support retention and career progression
• Identify issues that affect LGBT+ representatives within PFEW, and affect LGBT+ members who seek PFEW support, and raise these issues with appropriate post holders
• Be a point of contact, resource and critical friend for all PFEW staff and representatives on LGBT+ issues
