The Police Federation of England and Wales has welcomed new National Board members and has paid homage to outgoing representatives for their hard work over the years.
Following an election process conducted at PFEW’s Leatherhead headquarters, new board member positions have been allocated.
The elected members will officially take up their posts on 1 July.
PFEW National Chair Steve Hartshorn said: “Firstly, I would like to thank colleagues leaving the National Board for their dedication to their roles, the organisation and the service provided to our members.
“Congratulations to those recently elected. I am proud to see three female colleagues elected into senior positions within the organisation. I am looking forward to working closely with the new National Board and the National Council as we continue to fight for fairness on behalf of our members as the undisputed voice of policing.
“We shall continue to build on the important steps we have taken in pressing for improved pay for police officers, as well as improving their working terms and conditions of service.
“It is imperative we continue to collectively work together for policing to make our voices heard, and achieve tangible, positive results for police officers.”
