Cancer Research UK was formed 20 years ago, in 2002. However, our history goes back much further, to 1902, with the founding of the Imperial Cancer Research Fund. Disabled Police Association

We are the national body representing disability support networks from police forces across the UK. Our main aim, and a key part of our strategic vision is to promote equality of opportunity for disabled people working within the extended police family.

Police Rehab Centres FLINT HOUSE

Flint House is a charity, funded by donations from those in the police service and their families. It is with these generous donations that we help and heal over 3,500 serving and retired police officers each year, providing physical rehabilitation and mental health support.

Our team is a very dedicated team of volunteers who donate their time and skills for the advancement of our campaign to deliver disability sport to the police community. Their wealth of knowledge in each area is a vital component for creating a platform for disability sport in the UK for the officers and staff we are supporting.

The Police Treatment Centres

The Police Treatment Centres

Many of those attending the Treatment Centres do so to receive intensive physiotherapy treatment. Each patient is thoroughly assessed regarding their condition upon arrival, and the volume of treatment decided by an experienced clinician. A tailored programme is then developed based on the individual’s clinical needs. A proactive approach to treatment is given at the Centre, with the emphasis on “helping patients to help themselves”.
