The Police Federation is the staff association for police officers from the rank of constable to chief inspector, and special constables.
Subscribing members receive support and advice from colleagues elected as workplace representatives and trained to offer guidance on Police Regulations and other issues affecting officers.
How much does it cost per month to be a member?
Officers from the Federated ranks can opt to become a subscribing member of the Federation, entitling them to the full range of support and assistance in accordance with Federation rules.
From 1 December 2022, membership costs £24.31 per month which is claimable against your income tax - the rebate makes the net cost of subscriptions under £20 a month.
In the first year as a student constable, this subscription is discounted by 50 per cent and then full subscriptions are then paid from the second year.
Email your local branch to become a member or to find out more.
