This research is being conducted by the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW) to better understand your experiences of the 87% wellbeing app. You will be asked to complete a questionnaire prior to having 1 month of access to the 87% wellbeing app. You will then be asked to complete a similar questionnaire after having access to the 87% wellbeing app. Your responses will inform the PFEW’s discussions and decision-making processes with regards to whether the 87% app will be rolled out to the wider membership.
In order to confirm participants have completed the first questionnaire prior to having access to the 87% wellbeing app, PFEW will ask you to provide your email address at the start of the questionnaire. The responses you provide to these surveys will be anonymised by removing email addresses from the data once they are downloaded from the Survey Monkey platform. However, in order to distribute the 87% wellbeing app and the follow-up questionnaire at the end of the pilot study, PFEW will store these email addresses separately from your responses in a password protected file only accessible to the PFEW Research Team. We also request that you do not share any identifying information within the open text responses you might provide within the questionnaire. These data will be analysed and reported anonymously and will only be used for the purposes outlined above. The PFEW is the designated data controller and data processor for these data and access to the survey datasets will be restricted to PFEW staff.
Once a report on findings has been written, and a decision has been reached on whether to disseminate this app to the wider PFEW membership, the raw survey data collected by PFEW will be stored securely for one year after collection finishes, at which point it will be securely deleted. All analysis on these data will be conducted by the PFEW Research team and at no point will raw data be shared outside of the PFEW Research Team. These data will be stored in password protected files only accessible to the Research and Policy Department.
We collect and process the data you provide within these surveys only with your explicit consent; this is the PFEW’s legal basis for processing these data. You will be asked to provide your consent at the bottom of the first page of the survey. You have a right to withdraw your consent. Should you wish to withdraw either during or after completing the survey, we will make every attempt to facilitate this. Please contact the lead researcher using the contact details below.
