Nottinghamshire Police Federation

Summer magazine is out now

23 July 2025

The latest edition of Front Line, the magazine for Nottinghamshire Police Federation, is out now.

Hear from Mark Lee, the newly-elected branch chair on his priorities in the role.

In addition, our re-elected secretary, Tom Hill, looks forward to reaching a wider number of members, with 11 new workplace representatives on the Branch Council.

Celebration

Catch up with this year’s national Police Bravery Award nominee, Sergeant Rishi Thobhani, who joined other courageous officers from across England and Wales in London earlier this month.

Rishi and best friend Rory reflect on an evening of celebration, as well as an exclusive reception with the Home Secretary Yvette Cooper.

Cyclists from across the country are preparing for this year’s Police Unity Tour. Kicking off on Friday 1 August, the East Midlands Chapter will join dozens of others, as they raise money for the Care of Police Survivors (COPS) charity. You can still support the team by donating, simply turn to Page 6.

Special Constable Ryan Clarke tells of his surprise at being awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM), for his services to the Nottinghamshire community.

Garden party

And PC Charlotte Doherty gives us an insight into this year’s King’s Garden Party, after she received an invitation to attend earlier this summer.

Charlotte and mum Dawn were treated to tea, sandwiches and ice cream - and even managed to squeeze in a quick chat with Queen Camilla. Turn to Page 8 to hear the whole story.

All this and more, in the latest edition of Front Line.
