Have you paid too much tax?

Members of Nottinghamshire Police Federation are being reminded that they are eligible to have their tax code checked by professional tax experts at The Tax Refund Company. 

Hundreds of members have already received a refund after using this service, with very few of those previously knowing they were owed any money. 

On average, Nottinghamshire Police Federation members using this service have received an average refund of £217.10 each.

A few points to consider before using the service include:

• The review is free if the member does not get a tax refund.

• For every £1 paid back by HMRC, the member keeps 62p (minimum fee £38*) 

• The member will keep 100 per cent of any refund for current and future years.

• Peace of mind guaranteed – in the rare event the member gets an unexpected tax bill as a direct result of using this service, it will be paid for the member** 

• Members should not assume that HMRC will send them a refund if they have overpaid tax.

* You only pay a fee if you get a refund from HMRC. If you get back less than £38, the minimum fee will be reduced to the same value as your refund, so you have nothing else to pay.
