Escape to the beautiful Norfolk coast at the Kelling Heath Holiday Home, perfect for relaxation or recovery. Set within a peaceful holiday park, this fully equipped home sleeps up to six, provides free access to an on-site health club, and FREE Wi-Fi in the home.

Enjoy nature trails, stunning views, and the comfort of a cosy retreat. Available from February to December, it's ideal for Lincolnshire Police Federation members, with discounted rates.

The primary purpose of the holiday home is to offer rest and recuperation for officers facing significant distress due to crises, assaults, or family impacts from policing -( see criteria below )

It is also available for short breaks at discounted rates for Federated members.

Serving police officers who are Federation members can book 4-night (Mon-Fri) or 3-night (Fri-Mon) stays.

Retired members of the Group Insurance Scheme can book in select months (March, May, June, Sept-Dec), excluding school holidays. 

The holiday home sleeps up to 6 people. There is a main double bedroom with en-suite, a twin bedroom ( 2 single beds), family bathroom and a sofa in the living area that converts into a double bed.

NEW FOR 2025 - a maximum of 2 well-behaved dogs are now allowed to stay at the home. There will be a £10 per dog extra charge per stay and strict rules apply - see terms & conditions below

  • Bookings will only be accepted by email sent to caravanbookings@lincs.polfed.org They will be date and time stamped to ensure fairness in the booking process.
  • At the point a date is confirmed to the member, they will need to pay the full balance within 48 hours or the booking will be cancelled, and the date released. Only once that is paid and agreement to terms and conditions of use is agreed and returned by email to caravanbookings@lincs.polfed.org will the booking be secured.
  • In the case of a cancellation with less than 14 days’ notice, a fee of 50% of the initial deposit will be charged.

A “Welfare break” will be defined as the following:

  • A serving Officer who has been seriously injured as a result of an injury on duty (Physical or Psychological)
  • A serving Officer who has been bereaved by a close family member as defined by Parent, Spouse, Cohabiting Partner or Child in the last 12 months
  • A serving Officer who is ill themselves, or has an unwell child or partner, and that illness has a significant impact on their daily life.
  • A serving Officer who has faced a particularly traumatic event or incident and deemed to require a break.
  • A serving Officer who has been subject to a gross misconduct investigation (example being a prolonged IOPC investigation or criminal matter for which they were found no case to answer) this will have been in the last 12 months.

Officers cannot refer themselves for a free welfare break. The recommendation must come through a Police Federation Rep their SMT, or a member of the Chief Officer team. The nominee must be a member of the Federation and the Group Insurance scheme.
