10 September 2025
Today, on World Suicide Prevention Day (10 September), we want to remind all colleagues across Nottinghamshire Police that you are not alone.
Mark Lee, chair of Nottinghamshire Police Federation said: “Our job brings immense pride, but also real pressure.
“The long hours, difficult incidents and challenges we deal with every day can impact our mental wellbeing more than we often admit. Reaching out for help is not a weakness – it’s an essential step in looking after yourself.
“If you are finding things tough, please know that support is available. Whether that’s a quiet chat with a Federation rep, speaking with a colleague you trust, or contacting one of the many confidential services on offer, there are people ready to listen.
“On this World Suicide Prevention Day, let’s remind ourselves - and each other - that talking saves lives. Please look out for your mates, check in on one another, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need support.”
