Almost 4,000 serving and retired officers attend the Police Treatment Centres each year to receive intensive physiotherapy or support through the psychological wellbeing programme.
And now student officers are being urged to find out more about what the two centres, one in Harrogate, North Yorkshire and the other in Auchterarder, Perthshire can offer to those who subscribe by signing up for one of a series of webinars.
The PTC is a registered charity supported by voluntary donations from the police family. The charity’s centres enable serving and retired police officers to receive treatment following an illness or injury, with the aim of supporting their return to better health. There is also a remote physiotherapy service.
Student officers who sign up with the PTC within three months of joining the Force do not have to start paying for their subscription until 12 months from the date of joining, although they will be entitled to apply for treatment during this time.
Dates for 2025 are:
