A new GP24 app is available to Federation members opted into the Group Insurance Scheme (GRINS), making it easier than ever to arrange healthcare consultations.
The GP24 service, offered in partnership with insurance managers Phillip Williams and Co., gives users and their cohabiting family 24/7 access to UK-based practicing GPs through appointments over the phone or on video call.
With the GRINS ensuring signed-up members receive cover specifically tailored around policing, the professional services brought by GP24 can provide diagnosis, advice, reassurance or a second opinion, and if appropriate, issue open referral letters and private fit notes.
Consultations are always confidential and have helped numerous officers look after their health amid the demands of police life.
And now, members can book these in with a few simple taps, thanks to the GP24 web app available on iOS and Android devices and to laptop and desktop users.
Any other HealthHero services accessible as part of the GRINS can also be integrated for use within the platform.
You can download the app by visiting the Phillip Williams Virtual Service or scanning the QR code below.
Once you have logged in or registered using access code NS25, the app can be saved to your device’s browser by clicking the icon shown on the left of the homepage.
From here, you and your family can use GP24 to message GPs, request appointments, arrange prescription deliveries and have medical notes securely stored at your own convenience.
