Federation remembers detective

Today marks the 23^rd anniversary of the loss of a Nottinghamshire detective.

DS Ludwik Sowka was 51 when he died in a motorbike accident when travelling to work on 25 January 2002.

Nottinghamshire Police Federation chair Simon Riley said: “Today we remember Ludwik and the loved ones he left behind. As a Federation, we feel it is so important that we honour the memory of our fallen colleagues, those officers who left for work as usual but did not make it home to their families at the end of their shifts.”
