Nottinghamshire Police Federation wants to send its warmest Christmas wishes to all those who support and contribute to the police force.
As we approach the end of another busy year in policing, we can reflect on the effort, talent, and commitment that is continuously given to the profession.
In return, our organisation has spent another year working towards positive action and change which empowers you to be as happy, successful and proud as possible in the profession.
We know that a good amount of our membership will remain on duty over the Christmas period and that should never go unnoticed.
While many members of the public enjoy time away from work, a number of police officers will not, and this is the level of dedication we will always strive to shine a light on.
For all that is commendable in this service, however, it is equally important that you remain safe and reach out to someone if you are ever struggling over this period.
And for the time you do get with loved ones this Christmas, however much that may be, make sure to enjoy every minute – you deserve it.
Wishing you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
Simon Riley, chair of Nottinghamshire Police Federation
Tom Hill, secretary of Nottinghamshire Police Federation
