Nottinghamshire Police Federation

Fed members urged not to forget about Pay and Morale Survey 2024

7 October 2024

The survey, launched by the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW) in September, closes at the end of this month.

The survey, which is conducted annually, is one of the comprehensive inquiries into the views of police officers in England and Wales, with topics including pay, mental health and rest days.

Other questions will ask participants about both personal and Force-wide morale.

The Federation will then use findings from the survey to hold the Force to account for its decision-making and treatment of its staff.

Low morale

Federation chair Simon Riley said: “Last year’s survey told us that Nottinghamshire respondents had reported the smallest figures of ‘low’ or ‘very low’ morale across England and Wales.

“This was encouraging, but it should never allow us to rest on our laurels and think things can’t improve further for our police officers.

“As a Federation, we will always use survey findings constructively when we meet with the Force and other key stakeholders, making it clear that only the best is good enough for our members.

“By completing the survey, you can make your voice heard so we get the most accurate idea possible on how you feel about policing and the working environment."

This year's PFEW’s Pay and Morale Survey 2024 closes on Monday 28 October.

Members should have received an email containing a link to the survey. If they have not received the email, please check your junk, and if it still cannot be found, contact the Federation office.
