Nottinghamshire Police Federation has given its backing to an online fundraiser in support of the family of Sergeant Graham Saville.

The JustGiving page was set up by ex-Sergeant Dan Fletcher, a former Nottinghamshire Police colleague. 

He described Sgt Saville’s actions as “the epitome of policing bravery”.

So far the JustGiving page has raised more than £110,000 at the time of writing.

Nottinghamshire Police Federation chair Simon Riley said the branch wanted to seek the views of Sgt Saville’s family before publicly endorsing the fundraiser.

Simon said: “We’re now proudly and publicly endorsing the page and would love to see Fletch's great work taken to the next level. 

“It will make a huge difference to Graham's family as they try to rebuild their lives.”
