Do you know the impact your blood pressure can have on your mental and physical health? A free downloadable guide is now available to members to help them better understand their body.
The leaflet coincides with ‘Know Your Numbers Week’, a campaign by Blood Pressure UK which is taking place from 5 to 11 September, with the aim to encourage people to get their blood pressure tested.
The campaign theme this year is: Measure. Modify. Manage.
Measure your blood pressure to see if it’s under control.
Modify your lifestyle if necessary.
Manage your blood pressure and your health to beat ‘the silent killer’.
As well as advising readers how they can go about getting their blood pressure tested, the leaflet also highlights a number of self-tests people can also do at home to assess their health.
Police Mutual has created the fact sheet, which is jam-packed full of information to help readers improve their health and wellbeing, from looking at what they eat to the exercise they do.
Police Mutual is a national organisation that provides financial and wellbeing support to both serving and retired officers and their families.
