What are reasonable adjustments?
Reasonable adjustments include:
- Provision of specific equipment or hardware – a chair or computer software
- Permanent, semi-permanent or fixed period working hours
- Agile working, permanent or temporary adjustments to job description or duties or lessening demands. This could even be suggestions that the person takes a period away from the computer every so often or is able to take a walk or take time to go to a wellbeing room or area.
NB: a change of working hours to accompany domestic/childcare circumstances is an example of what is not a reasonable adjustment and is considered a flexible working arrangement.
