The Police Children's charity

The Police Children’s Charity is a registered charity which supports Police Families by helping to ease the financial pressures of bringing up children in the face of life changing circumstances.  These include the death of either Parent, or the Police Parent taking early retirement due to an illness or injury sustained on or off duty.  The Charity also offers financial assistance to support the mental health and wellbeing of the children of serving eligible donors.  No amount of money can replace a Parent, but the financial support from the Police Children’s Charity can make a real difference to the lives of children.  Support includes:

  • New Beneficiary Grant – an initial payment of £1000 per child to provide immediate financial relief
  • Weekly Support Allowance – ongoing weekly allowance upto age 19
  • Seasonal Gifts – Summer and Christmas gifts awarded
  • Higher Education Grant – Support of £1500 paid in 3 instalments for each academic year (upto a maximum of 4 years)
