Hertfordshire Police Federation chair Luke Mitchell is encouraging members to make their voices heard in this year’s Pay and Morale Survey.

The survey gives officers the opportunity to have their say on the issues facing policing, including this year's police pay award.

The survey is live now and follows confirmation by the Government that officers will receive a 3.5 per cent pay rise after it rejected the independent Police Remuneration Review Body's (PRRB) recommendation of 3.9 per cent.

Luke said: “The Government's decision to ignore the independent recommendation on police pay has understandably left many officers frustrated.

“Whether you feel disappointed by this year's award or want to share your wider experiences of policing, this survey gives you the chance to have your say.

“The findings are used to support the Federation’s work nationally and locally on issues such as pay, working conditions, and officer welfare and wellbeing.

“The more members who complete the survey, the louder our collective voice will be.

"I would encourage every Hertfordshire Police Federation member to take just a few minutes to complete the survey.
