Police officers are governed and protected by terms and conditions set out in law by Parliament known as Police Regulations.

The Police Federation of England and Wales have produced a Quick Reference Guide in line with our current understanding of Police Regulations 2003 and determinations, Police (Conduct) Regulations 2012, Police (Complaints and Misconduct) Regulations 2012 and Police (Performance) Regulations 2012 as at August 2016.
