Gloucestershire contribution to the National Detective Forum

On 16th November 2022, Gloucestershire Police Federation Detective Lead DS Andy Houghton attended the National Detectives Forum, hosted by Northumbria Police.

The Police Federation National Detectives’ Forum (PFNDF) aims to support and progress the work of Detectives throughout England and Wales.

It was an opportunity to discuss a number of thematic areas, including the upcoming changes to the Attorney General Guidelines (AG2022) which has simplified the redaction requirements at a pre-charge stage for the Crown Prosecution Service.

Other topics included Detective Wellbeing, the Demand on Detectives, an update on the National Investigators Examination (NIE) and Pay Parity for Detectives.
