Federation New Engagement & Welfare Van

The Gloucestershire Police Federation is pleased to announce the delivery of our long awaited engagement and welfare van which you will see out and about across the county in the coming weeks.

The welfare van will be used by Federation Officials to visit local stations in order to engage with officers and staff and also be available for events and pre-planned operations.

The van is equipped with solar panels, hot and cold running water, TV, microwave, fridge, toilet and WiFi and has been funded by sponsorship and Group Insurance reserves (not member subscriptions).

We will be able to provide hot and cold drinks and snacks as well as an opportunity for you to engage with your local Fed reps on any issues that we can assist with.

Whilst we also aim to provide assistance for officers who are on scene guards for prolonged periods the van is not a substitute for the Force's obligation to provide for the welfare of its officers and staff.

There will be no out of hours call out facility and any requests for the deployment of the van must be made via the Federation office during office hours and will be subject to the availability of Federation Officials.
