There is still plenty of time to register for Breaking The Silence, conversations about mental health and suicide prevention.
The webinar at 10:30am on 10 September is hosted by Wellbeing leads Hayley Aley and Paul Williams, who are joined by Dr Jess Miller of Cambridge University, and a serving officer in a discussion of lived experiences with ill-mental health.
Dan Lever, Branch Secretary, Cheshire Police Federation, discusses his own struggles and experiences, and hopes that his very public and open conversations on depression can encourage others to seek help and support and know that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
Dr. Jess Miller will explore the types of thinking that can lead to suicidal thoughts and will educate and encourage teams to cultivate an environment that counteracts and addresses these harmful thought patterns.
The webinar forms part of our #AskTwice campaign that is aimed at encouraging open and positive conversations around mental health and building a supportive policing community that understands pressures and removes stigma.
