Police federation describes “intense” spy investigation

A police sergeant working at the centre of the Salisbury spy investigation has described the situation as “intense”. Sergeant Joe Saunders of the Wiltshire Police Federation says planning is key. Earlier today, the Prime Minister announced that 23 diplomats will be expelled from the UK following the attempted murder of former spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia.
