Kent Police Federation are devastated to announce the loss of popular colleague Sgt Chris Hughes, who died yesterday.
We are not releasing any more details at this time but our thoughts are with Chris’s family, friends and close colleagues.
Neil Mennie, Chairman of Kent Police Federation, said “This is a tremendous shock for all of us - and especially those who knew and worked with Chris, including myself.”
Chris joined Kent Police in 1997 and had worked across the force’s East Division throughout his 24 years' service.
Neil added “I know many of his colleagues will be utterly devastated - and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this terrible time.”
For any colleagues who might be in need of support, it is important to know that there are resources available to help.
