Kent Police officer celebrated at the National Police Bravery Awards

14 October 2021

Congratulations to our colleague PC Daniel Stride on his nomination for the 2020 Police Bravery Awards.

Daniel joined more than 90 officers from across England and Wales at the delayed Awards in London on Tuesday (12 October).

He attended Downing Street and then a prestigious Awards ceremony at the Central London Hotel.

You can read about their story here.

A police officer known widely as ‘Britain’s bravest cop’ was named overall winner of the prestigious Awards, sponsored by Police Mutual.

Metropolitan PC Stuart Outten suffered multiple stab wounds and skull fractures, but managed to use his Taser to disable an attacker who was armed with a machete.
