“I recently contacted the Benevolent Fund to enquire about some possible support in obtaining a wheelchair for my daughter who had been put on an extensive NHS waiting list. A colleague had suggested I contacted the fund because I hadn’t even thought about them being a potential option for this kind of support.  I’m so grateful now that I did reach out, because I received an incredibly prompt and positive response, and in almost no time my daughter now has the wheelchair she so desperately needed courtesy of the Fund. It has been an absolute game‑changer for our family. We’re now able to go on long dog walks together in all weathers, instead of one of us have to stay at home because our daughter couldn’t manage the distance. She absolutely loves her chair, and it has made such a difference to our day‑to‑day life.
