Humberside Police Federation are delighted to report that on the back of our charity fundraiser night on the 25th of November we have raised £7,000 for good causes!
15 December 2021
£3,500 has been donated to WISHH, the Hull Royal Hospital charity to be split between their National Elf Service – buying Christmas presents for kids in hospital over the festive period - and for their By Your Side appeal – raising money for parental accommodation so parents could stay with their children on the high dependency ward. https://www.wishhcharity.org.uk/
£2,500 has been donated to The Health Tree Foundation, local hospital charity for Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust. This is to go towards their new A&E department appeal at Grimsby http://healthtreefoundation.org.uk/home
The Federation also donated £500 to Thompson Plastics, a local firm whose premises caught fire recently – lots of colleagues attended to help. The money is to support its staff.
The remaining £500 was split – The Federation gave £250 each to the Police Federation Reps who sold the most raffle tickets, to be donated to charities of their choice. They chose Woman’s Aid Hull and Preston Road Woman’s Centre, who were requesting selection boxes for children who will be without over Christmas.
Thanks to everyone who supported our event and donated towards these great causes.
