Police officers will receive a 2.5 per cent pay rise from 1 September this year, the Treasury has announced.
Home Secretary Priti Patel is due to make a statement to Parliament today with the recommendations of the Police Remuneration Review Body (PRRB), the independent organisation that advises on police pay.
We will publish further details when they are available.
Officers received a 2.5 per cent pay increase in September 2019.
In February, in a joint submission to PRRB with the Police Superintendents’ Association, the Police Federation of England and Wales called for a five per cent pay rise for all ranks.
