There are just over 24 hours left for officers to take part in an online consultation on Government plans to create a new Police Covenant, which will enshrine the welfare of officers, police staff and their families into law.
The deadline to complete the online consultation is 11.45pm tomorrow (22 April) and Humberside Police Federation chair Pete Musgrave is urging members to make time to have their say.
“The Police Covenant aims to enhance support for police and their families and so I ask members to take time out and fill in what is a very user-friendly survey,” says Pete, “This is something that could make a difference for generations to come because it is a chance for you to have your say and help shape the future of policing.
“It will ensure that officers get the credit they deserved for carrying out such a dangerous and unique role in the community and asks for your opinions and views on safety, health and wellbeing.”
