Today marks the second anniversary of the death of Acting Sergeant Reece Buckenham.

Hertfordshire Police officer Reece died when his motorbike was in collision with a car as he rode home from a night shift at around 7am on 29 June 2024.

The father-of-two was travelling on the A10 between Rush Green and Great Amwell at the time of the accident. He was aged 36.

Branch secretary Dean Cornish said: “The thoughts of everyone at Hertfordshire Police Federation are with Reece’s family, friends, and colleagues on this difficult day.

“Reece was hugely respected officer, and his death was felt right across the Force.

“Today we will pause to remember his dedication and service to the Force and our communities.

“It’s vital we never forget the sacrifice made by those who gave their lives while serving the Force and our communities.”
