Branch chair Luke Mitchell said: “There is a sense of excitement across the executive team now it has been confirmed, because we can now begin looking at how we shape a successful future for our membership.
“As I have previously stated, we want to be a Federation which really listens to its members, especially with all the recent change within Hertfordshire Constabulary and the ongoing landscape of policing in relation to pay and conditions.
“The latest Pay and Morale Survey has indicated our members still don’t feel valued enough in the profession, so we want work towards eliminating those sentiments wherever possible.
“After the new Chief Constable was appointed back in January, I feel optimistic that we will be able to work with the Force and deliver the very best support for our members.
“We would continue to hold the Force accountable, creating both proactive and reactive change for the better.”
More information on the branch’s latest structure of officials and representatives will be uploaded to the Hertfordshire Police Federation website.
