Branch members can take advantage of a free webinar later this month from the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW) offering advice on how to navigate life after retirement from policing.
Part of the PFEW’s Insight Webinar collection, ‘Next Chapter’ will be held on Tuesday 25 February from 11am to 12:30pm, in collaboration with the Police Leavers Partnership.
It is set to put the spotlight on the opportunities and challenges brought by retirement from the Force, as officers go through a significant life transition and step into new roles and routines.
A panel of speakers – consisting of PFEW wellbeing lead Hayley Aley and custody lead Paul Williams, chartered psychologist Dr Ceri Jones, and retired Chief Superintendent Stuart Noble – will provide enlightenment on managing career change, building a strong professional identity, and looking after wellbeing post-service.
The Police Leavers Employment Gateway, an online platform designed at helping officers step into civilian careers, will also be introduced by the panel.
Registration for the webinar is now open, with a recording to be shared for those who registered to watch back when they please.
