Hertfordshire Police Federation

Free mental health advice for members

20 May 2024

Being active is good for our mental health but police officers can sometimes find it difficult to fit exercise into their routine.

Shifts, long hours, and commitments outside work mean it can be hard to find the time.

Now Hertfordshire Police Federation members are being encouraged to use last week's Mental Health Awareness Week, as the motivation to move more.

This year’s theme is ‘Movement: Moving more for our mental health’ and it aims to highlight how physical exercise can help our mental health.

Police Mutual, which provides financial services and welfare support to the police service, has produced a free factsheet packed full of information on how exercise can boost your mental health.

It also includes tips on how to incorporate exercise and workouts into your daily routine.
