Hertfordshire Police Federation today remembers PC Jacqueline Brown who died on this day 35 years ago.
The Hertfordshire officer was just 23 when she died on 6 June 1989 after losing control of her patrol car on a bend in wet weather. Jacqueline was driving a prison and escort at Harpenden at the time.
Luke Mitchell, chair of Hertfordshire Police Federation, said: “Our thoughts today are with Jacqueline’s family, friends and former colleagues.
“It is incredibly important that we remember our fallen colleagues and the loved ones they left behind.”
