Federation remembers fallen officer

Hertfordshire Police Federation today remembers a police officer who was killed in a motorbike crash on his way to work for the Force on this day 44 years ago.

PC Peter Eykelbosch, 19, died when his motorcycle was in collision with a lorry near St Albans on 9 June 1980.

Federation branch chair Luke Mitchell said: “Today we remember Peter, and keep his family, friends and former colleagues in our thoughts too.”
