Nominations for national awards that celebrate the colleagues and projects that have made a difference to the wellbeing of Hertfordshire Police officers and staff are still open.
The annual Oscar Kilo awards recognise the fantastic work that has been done – and continues to be done – to provide wellbeing support across UK policing.
Hertfordshire Police Federation members are being encouraged to nominate colleagues and projects that have had a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of the Force.
Luke Mitchell, branch chair, said: “The Oscar Kilo awards are now in their fifth year and really highlight the great work that goes into providing wellbeing support for police officers and staff.
“We have a unique role and because of that our wellbeing is regularly challenged by the things we see and deal with.
“Because of that, our physical and mental wellbeing has to be a priority and these awards are a chance to celebrate the unsung work that goes into supporting it.”
Oscar Kilo, the national police wellbeing service, is inviting nominations in seven categories:
There is also a special non-police award for other organisations such as the fire and rescue service, who are working towards completing the Blue Light Wellbeing Framework.
Nominations close on 10 March. The winners will be announced at the awards event this summer.
Visit the Oscar Kilo website for more information on the awards and to nominate yourself, a colleague or a project.
