Hertfordshire Police Federation today remembers Sergeant Alan Lovett.
Alan died of heart failure while he was on duty at Hatfield Police Station on 27 November 2006. He was 46.
Alan had 25 years’ service, first with the Metropolitan Police for 15 years and then with Hertfordshire Police, where he served on CID and as a custody officer.
“Alan was a really popular and respected officer dedicated to the police service and the communities we serve,” says Luke Mitchell, chair of Hertfordshire Police Federation.
“Our thoughts today are with his family, friends and former colleagues.”
