Today marks the anniversary of the loss of Hertfordshire PC Ronald Hull.
PC Hull (35) was helping an Army ambulance crew at the scene of a serious collision in thick fog in Royston when he was hit by another car on 21 November 1989.
“Our thoughts today are with PC Hull’s family, his friends and his former colleagues. It is important that we remember those colleagues who gave their lives in the service of their communities,” says Hertfordshire Police Federation chair Luke Mitchell.
PC Hull had four children and his daughter, DC Katie Hull, has since followed him into the Force and wears the same collar number as her dad.
