Hertfordshire Police Federation secretary Al Wollaston is encouraging officers to take part in the Ratana 10k 2021.
The first Ratana 10k was launched just weeks after the death of Sergeant Matt Ratana, who was killed in the line of duty at Croydon custody suite in September 2020.
This year’s event will take place throughout the month of April. As it is a virtual event, it can be completed wherever and whenever you like any time during the month.
Established by Matt’s good friend and colleague, Paul Hollis, the first event was a huge success with over 2,500 people taking part from home and raising over £40,000.
“Paul has done an amazing job in arranging the Ratana 10k and I would love to see members across Hertfordshire taking part during April to show our continued support to the cause,” said Al.
This year’s event will see all funds split between Matt’s partner, Su, and the Matt Ratana Rugby Foundation established by his former friends and colleagues at East Grinstead Rugby Club.
