Police Covenant: consultation survey closes tomorrow

Officers have just over 24 hours left to take part in an online consultation on Government plans to create a new Police Covenant, which will enshrine the welfare of officers, police staff and their families into law.

The deadline to complete the online consultation is 11.45pm tomorrow (22 April) and Hertfordshire Police Federation secretary Al Wollaston is urging members to take time out to have their say.

“The covenant will enhance support for police and their families and could make a difference for generations to come so it is important for officers to fill out what is a simple-to-use online consultation,” says Al.

“This is a chance to have your say and help shape the future of policing and ensure that the police get the protection and credit deserved for carrying out such a unique role in their communities.

“It asks questions around officer safety, health and wellbeing and invites you to leave your opinions and express your views.”
