Hampshire Police Federation

Welfare van is back on the road

3 March 2020

Hampshire Police Federation’s Welfare Van is back on the road after a bit of TLC.

It’s now stocked with reuseable cups, as the Federation is doing its bit for the environment by discouraging the use of paper cups and plastic.

There’s also a five-gallon drum of fresh water to refill officers’ water bottles. Southampton Police Club Trust Fund provided free water bottles to Hampshire Constabulary officers and staff, but if officers didn’t receive one, there are some spare bottles that will be kept in the van, along with replacement lids.

We also have new Sporks provided by Police Mutual and Hampshire Police Welfare Fund.

The Welfare Van provides relief for officers deployed at crime scenes or other operations for long periods of time. It gives officers the chance to have a break, and it has food and hot drinks, a toilet and wash facilities.

If you wish to use the Welfare Van, please call the Force Control Room Inspector.
