1 April 2025
Millions of people around the UK are experiencing high levels of stress which may be damaging their health and wellbeing.
April is Stress Awareness Month so now’s the time for anyone concerned about their own stress levels to get the help and support they might need.
Police Mutual, which offers products and services for police officers, staff, their families and the wider police family, has launched a factsheet to point people in the right direction.
The factsheet offers a list of tips to help people manage their stress and also gives links to organisations that can help including the NHS, mental health charity Mind, Anxiety UK and the organisers of the awareness month, the Stress Management Society.
Police Mutual also acknowledges that money worries can also cause stress and mental health conditions and has pledged to break down the stigma surrounding debt and get people talking about money.
It has also teamed up with PayPlan*, one of the UK’s leading free debt advice providers, which offers free and confidential advice to anyone in serious financial difficulties.
Get free and confidential help to combat your debt, call PayPlan* on 0800 197 8433.
The Stress Awareness Month factsheet is one of six launched by Police Mutual this month. The others are:
World Autism Awareness Day – 2 April
World Health Day – 7 April
