A new guide has been produced to support Derbyshire Police Federation members in quitting smoking for the good of their health - and their bank balance.
Produced for National No Smoking Day on March 13, the online resource aims to help Federation members give up cigarettes.
It’s been published by Police Mutual, which provides financial services and welfare support to the police service.
It includes tips on stopping smoking and highlights the short and long-term health benefits of giving up, such as improved circulation, better lung function, and reduced risk of heart attack and lung cancer.
The guide also highlights the financial incentives in giving up smoking, with the average smoker estimated to save £2,000 by quitting.
