Derbyshire Police Federation chair Tony Wetton is encouraging members to take part in a fundraising challenge in aid of the Police Treatment Centres (PTC).
The PTC is launching the Big Step Challenge to get everyone moving and to raise much-needed funds.
Get moving from 15 May to 14 June to complete your step challenge. You can take part on your own or as part of a team.
Complete the Gentle Stepper, which is 250,000 steps; the Middle Stepper, 500,000 steps, or the Top Stepper’s target of 750,000 steps.
Entry is free but those who take part are asked to raise a minimum of £30 for the PTC.
Tony said: “The Police Treatment Centres is a fantastic charity. It supports 4,000 serving and retired officers every year, providing police-specific treatment, support and rehab.
“Each year it costs around £6.5 million to run the two centres and each year it needs to raise 10 per cent of the cost.
“The Big Step Challenge is a great way to support the PTC and its vital work, to get fitter and to improve your wellbeing as well.”
