Chair remembers fallen officer

PC Steven Sharman has been remembered by Derbyshire Police Federation chair Tony Wetton on the 32nd anniversary of his death.

Steven collapsed and died while dealing with a road traffic accident on 18 March 1990. He was 36. 

Tony said: “Our thoughts are with Steven’s family and friends as we remember his life and service. 

“Losing a colleague on duty has a huge impact on colleagues and the loss is felt across the Force. 

“Steven is missed by all who knew him, and we’re thankful for his dedication and service to the people of Derbyshire. We will continue to remember him, as we do all our fallen colleagues. They can never be forgotten,” Tony added.
