Make positive changes to improve your financial, social, emotional and physical wellbeing with the help of a free new factsheet.
Police Mutual, which provides financial services and welfare support to the police service, has produced its wellbeing and work-outs guide to help you improve your resilience and overcome life’s challenges.
The factsheet focuses on managing your finances and how money worries can cause stress, relationship problems and even lead to people losing their homes.
It also examines how relationships are key to our wellbeing and how to connect with family and friends, colleagues and neighbours during the pandemic.
There are sections on improving your emotional and physical wellbeing, with discussions about how they’re both closely linked to each other.
“Regular exercise can boost your sense of wellbeing as well as your physical health,” the guide says.
Police Mutual has produced a separate factsheet which aims to help you improve your eating and drinking habits and cut the risk of diseases such as cancer and diabetes.
The free guide includes a wide range of tips on eating a healthy diet and staying hydrated. It examines the benefits of eating well, and looks at the daily allowance and nutritional value of things such as carbohydrates, fat and sugar.
The factsheet includes tips on losing weight and reducing hunger cravings. There’s a section on reducing alcohol and caffeine consumption, and another on the links between stress and eating.
